National Fish & Chip Day 2019

National Fish and Chip Day is a celebration of a treasured UK dish and the people who create it for us. One of these dens of golden delicacies is Merchants Fish Bar in Bewdley, a fish and chip shop and fish restaurant located right on the bank of the River Severn. This year we combined this day of celebrating the nations favourite takeaway with also trying to raise money for an incredibly worthy cause.

Michelin Star chef Andrew Pern invests in another Florigo!

There is no doubt in saying that Andrew Pern has set the bar extremely high in the gastropub industry. With years of valuable experience, knowledge and huge success under his belt, we simply needed to catch up with him in light of the exciting re-opening of one of his gastropubs, The Star Inn the City in York City Centre. At Florigo we are extremely proud to work alongside and provide frying equipment for The Star Inn the City and The Star Inn the Harbour.

James flies all the way to Harry Ramsden’s in Genting, Malaysia!

The week before this year’s National Fish & Chip Awards, Sales Manager & our new globe trotter James Houlston flew all the way over to Harry Ramsden’s, Genting Highlands, Malaysia. The purpose of his visit was to train the team on their new Florigo Frying Range at the new Laughing Fish by Harry Ramsden’s Fish & Chip Shop in Resorts World. Resorts World Genting is a huge tourist destination packed with all sorts of different attractions.
