Florigo has Landy’d on The Royal Mile

Florigo has been providing ranges to the Crolla family for years, so when they were looking to put a range into the latest jewel in the Vittoria Group’s crown, Landy’s, of course they came to us.

Located on the famous Edinburgh Royal Mile, the installation was quite a challenge but nothing the team at Florigo couldn’t handle. The install was scheduled for the early hours as the road had to be closed, and a crane brought in, to get the impressive 6 pan wall range through the window.

We tailored their range to have 2 separate filtration systems, allowing the chefs to use an isolated oil supply for their vegan fish and chips without the risk of cross contamination. In addition, we fitted the range with an integrated Ansul fire suppression system as well as providing a separate Ansul system for their canopy.

The restaurant, set over two floors, has an open kitchen, allowing customers to see their food being freshly prepared. The menu is diverse with a few twists on fish and chips as well as the traditional dish. With its striking interior and use of stripes evoking memories of the classic seaside deck chair design, the décor has playful nods to British beaches and gives a coastal feel right in the heart of the city.
