Our fantastic customers at Taylors have won multiple awards ranging from the South Wales Echo Food & Drink Awards to the Welsh Regional Winners of the National Fish and Chip Awards 2007/08 and a Finalist in the British Awards, since winning they haven’t entered any further awards, they now like to spend time concentrating on their food and business developments.
Starting with our Service Co-ordinator – James McDonald! James is known as the class clown of the office as he’s always making the team laugh. Here is all you need to know about James!
There is no doubt in saying that Andrew Pern has set the bar extremely high in the gastropub industry. With years of valuable experience, knowledge and huge success under his belt, we simply needed to catch up with him in light of the exciting re-opening of one of his gastropubs, The Star Inn the City in York City Centre. At Florigo we are extremely proud to work alongside and provide frying equipment for The Star Inn the City and The Star Inn the Harbour.
Our amazing customers at Trenchers have worked extremely hard to win the Best Fish & Chip Restaurant, so what a fantastic way to start the year. We had a chat with General Manager, Andrew Wilkinson about how winning the award has felt, the awards process and some advice for those considering entering the 2020 awards.
James McDonald from the Service team went to visit a long-standing Florigo customer last week, William Rowe from W J Rowe Fish and Chips in Stevenage. William has been running his shop in the fish and chip industry since 1992! With plenty of experience and fish and chip trade wisdom, James grabbed the opportunity to find out more.
On behalf of everyone at Florigo we would like to congratulate all of the finalists and winners, you’ve all achieved a lot this year and it’s a credit to all your hard work. Events like the Fish and Chip Awards make us proud to be part of such a friendly and dedicated industry.
It’s finally here, the Fish & Chip Awards week! To get ourselves even more excited, we had to talk to the one and only Valerie Johnson from Frankie’s Fish and Chips in Brae, Shetland.
