Meet the Team Tuesday – Carol-Ann
How are you settling in?
I feel like I am settling in really well thank you. It’s a lovely team of people here and they have made me feel so welcome and they are always there to answer any questions I have. Everyone has just been so encouraging to me with the work I am doing.
How was your first work-based event, Isle of Ely?
It was great, I have taken loads of notes from the day and took a lot away with me. I enjoyed meeting a couple of well known faces in the industry and really picked up on the passion that owners have who run our fish and chips shops. It was also good to have an insight into the fish and chip industry from lots of perspectives; the owners and staff, the farmers, sustainability, costings and loads more.
Describe your job in 3 words.
Phone. Research. Adaptable.
Love Chinese food. I also love Fish and Chips!!!
It has to be a Gerard Butler film – and its Phantom of the Opera
What are you looking forward to?
Jobwise I’m looking forward to progressing my knowledge within the industry and attending events. My next one is the NFFF ball; love getting the bling out ?
Personally – PASSING my grade 5 classical Sax exams (notice I haven’t given myself a choice ha ha)
What are your hobbies?
Playing the saxophone and clarinet, walking and listening to music.
Best thing about your job so far?
Chatting to Owners of fish and chips shops, they have been a great insight to the industry and great training for what I do; and they always will be – each day is never the same. I love the research part of this job too and to have a great marketing duo like Maddi and James is fantastic and I think we all bounce off each other. We get ideas on the table which I love.
